Conductor Barrel Process
Your Need
Stabilizing poor soil conditions to achieve a more desirable drill starting point.
Our Solution
The conductor barrel process creates a clear path through poor soil conditions so that drilling can begin in more preferable conditions. Loose, unsupported soil and water crossings are prime candidates for this process.
How it works:
-
Casings are rammed into the ground at a predetermined angle until soil conditions are met.
-
The spoil is removed from the casing with an auger or core barrel.
-
Drilling proceeds within the casing in the desirable soil conditions.
-
The conductor barrel process can also be used to create a friction-free section during pullback.
The Eveready Advantage
- Stability- Loose, unsupported soils are stabilized by the casing
- Environmental protection- The conductor barrel can prevent drilling fluids under pressure from forcing their way into waterways and wetalnds
